Reliable tablet compression begins with tooling that is manufactured to the correct geometry, tolerances and material specifications. We don’t just manufacture standard B and D tooling, but also tooling for machines such as Courtoy, Fette, Kilian, Korsch and other press designs.

Our tooling is engineered to support consistent tablet weight, dimensional accuracy, reliable compression performance and the required tablet finish. Depending on the application, we can also provide specialised solutions such as Hard Chrome plated punches, Stainless Steel punches, Teflon-Tip punches and Tungsten Carbide lined dies.

Quality and repeatability are central to our manufacturing process. Our standard tooling is manufactured in accordance with recognised IPT / Euro specifications, with suitable tool steels selected according to the compression application and performance requirements.

Tablet Design & Engineering Support

Good tooling starts with good tablet design. Our engineering team works with customers on tablet geometry, weight, shape, embossing and break-line design, using dedicated tablet-design software to evaluate factors that can influence tooling strength, tablet ejection and common compression issues such as sticking and picking.

Where required, we can also develop a physical Proto-Tab during the design stage, allowing customers to review the proposed tablet shape, size and appearance before final tooling manufacture.
